TBA Textiles Yarns

TBA Textiles' comprehensive technical yarn production facilities use the unique Dref core and sheath sinning process. The company has recently added a Dref 2000 machine to its Dref 2 and Dref 3 spinning capacity. These high performance machines enable the development of individually engineered yarns to meet customer requirements.

TBA's technical yarns are used in a variety of end uses including:

Cut resistant gloves - TBA's KYG knitting yarn consists of a glass filament core wrapped with an outer sheath of aramid fibre. The resulting construction offers excellent cut resistant properties.

Gas mantle tie yarns - TBA's VYC knitting yarn is a unique patented yarn that is an excellent replacement for the traditional asbestos yarns used by the industry.

Industrial sealing
- TBA's range of packing yarns is resistant to most acids, alkalis, solvents and other corrosive liquids. They are suitable in gasket applications and for use as packing.

Heat protection - TBA is a world expert in manufacturing high performance yarns and has the ability to create unique fibre blends for use in heat and fire protection.

Weaving - TBA's large range of woven fabrics is manufactured from TBA Dref spun yarns. Yarns can be supplied on made-to-order basis for various weaving applications.

Knitting - TBA supply a range of made-to-order knitting yarns for end uses where heat and cut protection are vital properties.

Clutch yarns and friction replacements - The versatile Dref spinning process incorporates glass and metallic cores for strength and heat dissipation and a tailored blend in the sheath to impart the desired properties including resin absorbency.
